So these past couple weeks have been a little crazy! starting with one of our teachers getting arrested. Secondly a rivaling highschool pulled a prank on us that included spray painting our schools Ram statue their school colors as well as several cars in the parking lot.
But So far nothing has been as bad as the "Devil Teacher" we had for a substitute in journalism class. She wouldnt let us work on our blogs and demanded we present a project that wasnt due for another week! When we kindly tried to explain to this replacement teacher that the only assignment we had to work on was our blogs in the computer lab she rudely suggested that we "Work on something that's actually productive!" so for the next 3 days we spent almost 2 hours sitting in the class room staring at the board. Not only did she leave extensive notes on our classes so called "appalling behaivior" but she also reffered to us as resembleing the demon children from The Omen.
Hi Freshman! This blog is about freshman, for freshman, by a freshman. I hope it helps!(:

5th week, already here?
I don't know about you guys, but for me its week 5! school has just flown by, although it hasn't been easy. homework taking hours to complete, balancing dance two times a week, and in all the confusion I even sent my parents to orientation two weeks early. I knew high school would be different but not like this. Have any funny story's about your high school experience? Comment here and I'll post some of them on my blog(:
I love him, I love her not.
Having a crush in high school is just part of the experience. Whether you're a guy or a girl its inevitable that you'll start to develop feelings for someone as more than a friend. Even if you don't know the person its still normal to be attracted to someone. I've spent hours with friends having conversations about that adorable guy in my geometry class. Or the "bad boy" that sits next to me in spanish. But by the end of the year, who really cares if bobby liked you back or not? Even though crushes are a huge part of high school, thats not all that matters.

Cliques. Where do you fit in?
Jocks, goths, cheerleaders, nobodies, bad boys and teachers pets. Where do you fit in? We all struggled to make our place in middle school, forming our opinions of others as we tried to conform to the image set by our "clique" but is it really worth it? all those years we spent in middle school climbing to the top are suddenly lost in high school. Back on the bottom as a "freshy" suddenly you have to work your way back into your once familiar group. I'll admit that I've had it quite easy making new friends and finding relationships with old ones, but it makes me miss the easy days of middle school when cliques where just a thing we saw on the TV.

I also got a comment asking a very important question, that is very relevant to a lot of incoming high schooler's, as well as upperclassmen. Maggie asked "How do you handle all the extracurricular activities as well as school work and a stressful school day?" well Maggie, Something my Parents have always taught me was that School work comes first, and cheer leading practice and hanging out with friends definitely comes in last. I have to admit that they do have a point, colleges look for high grades on your high school transcript. But time should always be made for extracurricular things that you enjoy because colleges look for this kind of thing also! So my advice to you is that put your school work first but don't forget the other activities you love.

Homecoming, the Do's and definite Don'ts
As we all know homecoming is quickly approaching, and for some its the first! So what are some Do's and Don'ts for having a great evening? Here are some great tips!
~Don't stress over getting a date, even though going with a special someone would be a great time, going with a close guy friend (or girl friend if you're a guy) is also a sure proof way to have lots of fun! And also don't be afraid to go with a group of friends. There will be plenty of people going that don't have dates.
~If you ask someone to go with you, don't feel bad if they say no. And never be afraid to ask someone else.
~When you're with your friends shopping for that perfect dress or sparkling shoes make sure that you can be comfortable, while you're looking great and dancing the night away!
~ If you're a girl or guy who plans on wearing heels make sure that you break them in before the dance so you can be comfortable all night.
~If you're a girl make sure you bring lip gloss, and oil blotting sheets to touch up your make up without taking a lot of time so you'll stay nice and fresh for you're date the whole night
~Lastly be yourself, never something your not. This is a night you-and everyone else at your school- will remember for your entire high school life. And don't be afraid to let go and have fun!
I hope you all have a great Homecoming!!

There were 2 comments left on my blog, one being "I got a brick dropped on my head...literally" well anonymous writer, I'm very sorry for what sounds like an awful start to high school. My advice to you would be to definitely see a doctor for a possible concussion and to let your principle or another administrator know. This is definitely something that needs disciplinary action. and i assure you that the perpetrators will be caught and punished.t
